National is pleased to announce that their Boston Showroom has been awarded LEED-CI Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The showroom, designed by CBT Architects, received this certification for energy and water usage, lighting, and material selections, as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a certification program for buildings and communities that guides their design, construction, operations, and maintenance toward sustainability. It’s based on prerequisites and credits that a project meets to achieve a certification level.
“We are proud of this accomplishment. This honor celebrates National’s ongoing dedication to sustainability within our facilities, our showrooms, our products, and our culture,” said Mendy Claridge, Director of Sustainability, LEED AP ID+C, National Office Furniture.
